Feng Shui is an 8,000 year-old Chinese philosophy about the relationship between humans and their environment. Every item in a space and its placement is thought to either enhance or diminish our well-being. Based on the laws of nature, logic and common sense, we have incorporated feng shui principles into our office.
Organization is a primary underlying goal of feng shui. While we may spend lots of time discussing individual feng shui elements like fountains or Chinese screens, the guiding principle of feng shui is truly organization.
While it might sound unusual, organization is crucial for emotional clarity and flow of qi. In our own office in Wilmington, NC, I have found that organization reaps many benefits for me as an acupuncturist. Being able to ensure that my clients find a calming space that leaves them relaxed, rather than anxious, is just one benefit of proper feng shui organization. Not to mention my own clarity and peace of mind when it comes to quickly finding all the materials I need to treat patients!
